To include the area boundaried by the EAST side only of Francis/Highway from Clark south to Eaton Hwy, South Township line from Highway I-69 east to the East Township line/Airport Road, the East Township line/Airport Road north to Clark, and Clark west to Francis.

UPDATE ON RECYCLABLES

The following items are recyclable:

Paper
  • Newspapers
  • Glossy Magazines & Catalogs
  • Brown Paper Grocery Bags
  • NO: Office paper, phone books or junk mail.

Plastics

  • #1 PETE plastic bottles and jugs
  • #2 HDPE milk jugs
  • #2 HDPE colored bottles and jugs. 
  • NO: motor oil bottles, styrofoam, clear #3, or #6 plastic, or HDPE #2 plastic tubs (cottage cheese, sour cream or margarine).

 

Metal
  • Aluminum and Tin cans (clean, remove paper labels, ends, flatten as much as possible)
  • NO: paint cans, appliances, hangers, or aerosol cans.

Glass

  • Glass (brown and clear only)
  • NO: light bulbs, window glass, pyrex, driking glasses or plates, or broken glass.

Any items left in your recycling bin after service should be discarded with your regular trash, as they are not compatible with our recycling collection service.

Saturday 8:00 a.m. to Noon
Recyclables accepted: Newspapers and inserts, clear and brown glass bottles and jars, tin cans.

Fowler - Behind Fowler DPE, North Drive
Maple Rapids - Union Street, next to Community Center
Pewamo/Westphalia - P/W High School, Clintonia Road
Recyclables accepted: Clear and brown glass jars, tin and aluminum cans, #2 and #1 plastic bottles and jugs, newspapers and inserts, magazines and catalogs, brown paper bags, and cardboard boxes.

RECYCLING TIPS

  1. Start by recycling your newspaper first. Simply place paper flat in a bag. Store near sofa or chair.
  2. Set aside some storage space in a convenient location such as your kitchen or garage. Use the blue recycling box to store recyclable. Brown paper bags placed in the box will keep items separated.
  3. Place materials out by 7am

Routes may go faster than you expect, so please put your recyclable bin out by 7am.

  • DO NOT USE GARBAGE BAG
  • PROTECT RECYCLABLES FROM RAIN AND SNOW
