Minutes of Board of Trustees Special Meeting

April 10, 2007

6:00 P.M.

Call to order:  The meeting was called to order at 6:00 P.M. with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Board Members Present:  Supervisor Adams, Clerk Husby, Treasurer Thelen, Trustees Maahs, Mitchell, and Weitzel. 

Staff present: Tubbs

Public Comment:  none

Agenda Approval:  Motion by Maahs and seconded by Weitzel to approve the agenda as presented.  Motion carried

New Business:

1.             Discussion/action on vacant trustee position.  Adams suggested that the Board decide the procedure to follow.  She suggested some sort of order for interviews and asks those not being interviewed to step out during the other interviews.  It was decided to interview according to the order of receipt of the letters of interest. 

·          6:04 P.M.-Ed Liebler was the first to be interviewed.  He addressed the Board and answered questions from Board members.

·          6:15 P.M.-Chris Pratt addressed the Board and responded to questions from the Board of Trustees. 

·          6:26 P.M.-Ron Overton addressed the Board of Trustees and answered questions from Board members.

·          6:35 P.M.-Bruce Baker addressed the Board and responded to questions from Board members.

·          6:46 P.M.-Dan Zay addressed the Board and responded to questions from Board members.

·          6:55 P.M.-Brian Mishler addressed the Board and responded to questions from Board members.

7:05 P.M.                All candidates returned to the meeting room.

Motion by Adams and seconded by Maahs to appoint Daniel Zay to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Alan Skerritt. 

Yes:         Maahs, Adams, Thelen, Weitzel, Husby

No:          Mitchell

Motion carried

Public comment:   Ron Overton spoke about the vacancy on the Planning Commission.  Maahs spoke about the Adopt-a-Highway campaign-April 21, 2007.

Adjournment- The meeting was adjourned at 7:33 P.M.
